Maria Black or Maria B. is a Mexican avocado similar to hass with a creamy texture and nutty flavor. It is a type B avocado with black skin. The tree tends to be compact and is spreading in nature.

Oro Negro means black gold in Spanish, which is an incredibly appropriate name for this fruit. It originates from Miami-Dade County, Florida and has great potential for dooryard or commercial use. It is likely a Monroe seedling having a similar shape and season, but probably crossed with a Mexican type which would explain the black skin. The flesh is rich and buttery with a creamy texture that is sure not to disappoint.

Chinese ginger, Fingerroot. Boesenbergia rotunda is a medicinal and culinary herb from China and Southeast Asia. It is widely used in Javanese cuisine in Indonesia. In Thai cooking it is called krachai. In the west it is usually found pickled or frozen. Kra Chai is used as an antiflatulent, expels air and nurtures strength. Used as a male tonic, vigor, health promotion, longevity, aphrodisiac.

Bougainvillea Sunvillea Rose (also called Dwarf Pixie) is deep pink, almost a magenta in color. It blooms the brightest of fuchsia-pink bracts contrasting with its bright green foliage. It is a dwarf form of thornless Bougainvillea with extremely slow growth rate. These showy evergreen dwarf beauties have numerous bright colorful bracts growing in an upright habit. Flame tree - very showy! This spectacular Australian tree is often conical in shape with dark green glossy leaves, deeply lobed when young. The upper trunk is green. Bright red bell flowers occur when the tree is wholly or partly deciduous, and are followed by thick black pods. Very conspicuous in flower in gardens and in the rainforest.

Rare and hard to find species, with the largest wavy shaped flowers, Brunfelsia plicata (jamaicensis) is a fast-growing, small, erect, delightfully fragrant flowering shrub endemic to Jamaica. The sturdy, dark green leaves make a good background for the showy flowers. The creamy white flowers with long tubes and wavy margins are extremely fragrant after dark. Blooms fall to winter. Pagoda Flower. Rare variety with off-white to yellow flowers. This rare variety with off-white to yellow flowers is one of the most impressive flowers of Florida winter season. We have this plant growing in our frond yard under the oak, in shade, and it keeps blooming all winter long! This variety seem to be hardier and more vigorous than regular red variety. It is also very drought tolerant, we never water it! Butterfly pea, Asian pigeonwings. Perfect vine! Blooms year-round, fast growing, easy, not invasive, controllable, not messy, curious bright blue flower - Clitoris-like flower shape, hence name of the plant. Fast-growing climber with fine foliage, pinnate leaves.
Besides being a great ornamental, this plant has some practical and medicinal value. The seed pods are edible, as well as the flowers. The flowers are used for blue food dye for rice and teas. It is also a nitrogen fixer and helps prevent E-coli.
